September Update
September was a very exciting month for the First Steps’ team. After months spent in research, Alex and Maura published their findings as part of the proceedings of the 73rd International Astronautical Congress in Paris, France. Alex had the opportunity to travel to Paris to present both topics at the most prestigious space industry event.
The Congress was a unique opportunity to catch-up with colleagues from the space industry, learn more about current developments and new trends, meet clients and establish new connections across the globe.
The papers presented by Alex at the International Institute of Space Law’s Colloquium were discussing issues related to sustainability and international cooperation and arbitration as a method for dispute resolution for the space industry. Cutting short her Parisian visit, Alex then flew to Birmingham on the last day of the Congress to attend the annual National Paralegal Awards. The occasion was held in the impressive Grand Hotel Birmingham. The best paralegals from the entire UK were gathered to celebrate their achievements and those of their peers.
After winning the Paralegal Business of the Year in 2021, First Steps received the Highly Commended Award at this years’ ceremony. Not bad for a business which is just over 3 years old!
We want to use the opportunity to congratulate all winners, highly commended paralegals and all finalists and thank the organisers - Institute of Paralegals and the Professional Paralegal Register for an exceptional experience at the Awards.
